Maní may be a tiny town and encompassing municipality of constant name, within the Mexican state of Yucatán. It’s concerning a hundred kilometre to the south south-east of Mérida, Yucatán, some sixteen kilometre east of Ticul.
Maní has been endlessly occupied for roughly four,000 years. Within the postclassic Mesoamerican era it had been home to the Tutal Xiu Maya family line, that enraptured their capital here from Uxmal within the thirteenth century. The Xiu were the dominant power within the western Yucatan when the autumn of Mayapan in 1441. A yearly competition in honor of the supernatural being Kukulcan was command here.
The area around Maní is basically dedicated to agriculture, primarily henequen, maize, cattle, and fruit. Hammocks area unit created within the town.
Each fifteen August to twenty four August Maní holds a competition in honor of female parent of the Assession. Every three January may be a competition of female parent of Candlemas.
