The Manhattan insurance Building was a 348 linear unit (106 m) tower at 64-66 street in ny town completed in 1894 to the styles of the architects of Kimball & Thompson and slightly extended north in 1904 creating its new address 64-70 street. It had been the primary edifice to pass 330 linear unit (100 m) in Manhattan.
In 1926, the building was oversubscribed by Manhattan insurance Company to Frederick Brown, UN agency then re-sold it to the Manufacturer’s trust corporation a number of weeks later. Then, in 1928, it had been bought by Central Union trust corporation, whose headquarters adjoined the building to the north, for associate degree covert add, though the building was assessed at that point at $4 million. The building was destroyed to create approach for associate degree Annex to the Irving trust corporation Building, currently One Wall Street, completed in 1965. Sources vary regarding whether or not the year of demolition was 1963 or 1964.
