Mandarmani is a small beach town that is located in the state of West Bengal. It is situated along the Southern regions of the state. The place is famous its long stretches of virgin beaches that are yet to be touched by tourism. The place is well known for its exquisite sunrises and sunsets and it is a good place to unwind away from the hectic life of the city. The waves are low and this makes it an ideal place for swimming. The beach is located at a distance of around three kilometers from the town of Shankarpur and you can reach the place on foot easily. You can engage in activities such as beach cricket and volleyball in Mandarmani. Mandarmani boasts of a 13 km long motorable beach, probably the longest motorable beach road in India. On the beach you will undoubtedly get the chance to feel the divinity and tranquility. If that is not enough to please your senses, then try to loll on the sand and listen to the waves crashing upon the shore, which will surely drive away your bustling pressure.

Kolkata International airport
By Air : The Kolkata Airport serves the region and if you are travelling by air, this is the most likely option. The airport is well connected to around 25 cities across the country. Many airline operators offer services from cities such as Chennai, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Guwahati and quite a lot of others.
By Train : The nearest railhead is situated at the town of Digha. Three trains are available from the city of Howrah to Digha. Tickets are inexpensive and second class seats cost around Rs 75. From the station you can opt for a bus or taxi to reach the beach.
By BUS : Regular buses are available from Kolkata and Howrah to Chawalkhola. Buses from Kolkata cost around Rs 100 and a few deluxe buses are also available. From here you can opt for private vehicles to reach the beach itself. They cost around Rs 250.
By Taxi : Taxis and Auto rickshaws are easily available for moving about in the city.
