Maipú is a town in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It is the head town of the Maipú Partido. It has a population of 8,865. Being located in the Pampa depressed the land is low and swampy. The predominant activity in its catchment area is the breeding of cattle. Provides a central service provider to the rural area. It is located in the important traffic of Route 2, which connects the City of Buenos Aires, which lies at 264 km, with Mar del Plata. It also has an airfield. Founded in 1875 by Francisco Bernabé Madero settlement for the authorities of the jurisdiction.
