Madhuban Park is one of the most frequented parks in Darjeeling district. Famous for its landscaped gardens, manicured lawns and pathways, this park serves as a favorite picnic spot for the whole family. Founded and maintained by the Indian Army, this park is set on the fringes of a lush green forest area. This park is also the starting point to various trekking trails to the adjoining Sukna forest. Small animals like rabbits, deer, and peacocks can be seen around the park along with a wide variety of butterflies and birds. This park is the perfect place for morning walks, jogging, and also a good location where you can spend quality time with the whole family. The best time to visit the park is in the mornings when you can escape from the commotion of the city. It is better to avoid the place during weekends as it can become too crowded.
Once you have taken a walk around the park, you could also visit Umrao Singh Lake which is situated nearby.
