Detail InformationEdit

Maritime Museum of Macau showcases the deep geographic and historic connection of Macau with the surrounding sea. The museum exquisitely depicts rich history of Macau from the time of its colonization by the Portuguese. Besides this, numerous exciting trivia about sea travelers and their adventures are also on exhibit at the museum. Maritime Museum is located in the Inner Harbor of Macau just besides the A-Ma Temple at the site where the first batch of Portuguese is believed to have landed.
The museum is a three storied structure built in the shape of a boat in full sail and is divided into five sections. Exhibits display the traditions and techniques of the fishermen, history of the Portuguese explorations and geographical discoveries along with marine technology and transport, dredging and navigation.
