The population was eleven,943 at the 2010 census. Lumberton is home of Village Creek State Park. It’s a part of the BeaumontPort Arthur Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Eastex Freeway (comprising State Highways 69, 96, and US 287) runs north from Beaumont into Lumberton and splits into two separate highways to the West and also the East within the South a part of the town, each running North and South.
