Built in 1897, this is often the oldest structure within the geyser space still in use. The “knotty pine” structure may be a fashionable resting place for guests, providing a good read of Geyser Hill.
This oldest building at geyser was designed as a photograph studio in 1897 for F. Jay Haynes. Originally set 700 feet southwest of Beehive Geyser and regarding 350 feet northwest of the front of the geyser hostel, it currently stands close to the intersection of the Grand Loop Road and also the fireplace lane, close to the path.
