Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad depository (LALS) may be a non-profit public profit corporation that was supported in 1956 by steam enthusiasts for the aim of training the general public regarding railroad history and content, and to market the pastime of steam and scale model railroad technology. The depository is open from eleven a.m. to 3 p.m. each Sunday. In 1956, all the locomotive model engines were steam supercharged, thus the name “Live Steamers”. Over the years, gasolene supercharged models of diesel locomotives and battery-electric locomotives and trolleys have conjointly become well-liked.
