Little Falls could be a town in Herkimer County, New York, USA. The population was five,188 at the 2000 census. The name comes from alittle cataract close to the town. The town of very little Falls is found at the southeastern corner of the city of very little Falls and is east of Utica. Very little Falls contains a picturesque location on the slope of a slim and rocky defile, flowing through that the watercourse falls forty five feet (13 m) in but a mile (1.6 km), forming variety of cascades.
Little Falls was 1st settled around 1723. The requirement to portage round the falls promoted a commercialism location on the location of the longer term town, permitting it to be the primary settlement within the city. The little settlement here was destroyed by the Indians and Tories in Gregorian calendar month, 1782, and also the place wasn’t relocated till 1790 and was proverbial occasionally as “Rockton” and “Rock town.” very little Falls was incorporated as a village in 1811, and reincorporated in 1827. The town of very little Falls was leased in 1895.
