Since 1805 one part of the ancient castle had belonged to the Exterházy family. On Oct 22nd, 1811, composer Franz Liszt was born there. The former home of the Liszt family is now a museum.
The exhibition shows various stages in Liszt´s life, including his childhood, his father´s death in 1827, his sojourns in Paris, Geneve, Italy and Vienna. One room is dedicated to the composer´s unique career.
