Lingabudi Lake, also known as Lingambudi Lake, is a beautiful water body situated in Srirampura. Not many are aware of the fact that this water body is among the largest and oldest lakes in Mysore. Making this place even more attractive is the lush greenery surrounding it. A vast variety of avifauna can be spotted near the lake, such as White Ibis, Kingfisher, River Tern, Little Cormorant, Spoonbill, Open Bill Stork and many more. Every year, more than 250 species of migratory birds visit this lake. Adding to the rich biodiversity of this place is an array of flowering plants like marigold, rose and hibiscus, to name a few. This lake spans over an area of about 3 acres and has fencing along the periphery. There is a walkway adjoining the lake, which provides an opportunity to enjoy nature walk. Stone benches have also been set up so that visitors can sit and admire the picturesque view of this beautiful lake.

Air : Mysore has a small domestic airport which is connected only to Bangalore. Bangalore is also the nearest international airport which is at a distance of 140 km away from Mysore. Others : Tongas are horse driven carts that are also means of transport in Mysore. They will take you around the city but at slow and steady pace. If you want a close look at the city and catch some rare sights that you would not otherwise see then you could try this mode of transport.
