Lilabari is a town that is located in the North Lakhimpur district of the state of Assam. The town is the commercial hub of the state and it is reasonably well developed. There are no places of interest in the town itself. However there are many small towns and cities that are located nearby that are accessible from the town of Lilabari. One can visit the town of Bomdila that is located nearby and there are many Buddhist monasteries that are seen here. The Tawang Monastery is one of the main places of interest in the area and can be reached from the town of Lilabari. One can purchase many fine quality shawls and other artifacts in the place. There are two lakes that are located in the region and these are the Ganga Lake and the Sela Lake. They are popular tourist sites and one can visit them for picnics or as a day trip. Adventure tourism is popular in the area and there are many trekking sites that are located here. Boating, hiking, rafting and other related activities are possible in the Lilabari region. For those who are interested in angling, there are many fishing spots present here as well.

Lakhimpur is a city and a municipal board in Lakhimpur Kheri district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.Dudhwa Tiger Reserve (DTR) has two core areas, Dudhwa National Park and Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary, which were merged in 1987. Dudhwa National Park is known as the first National Park of the state after the formation of Uttarakhand.

By Air : The town has an airport of its own and it receives flights from Guwahati. The flights are available on a daily basis and this makes it the easiest option to reach the place. However flights may not operate during the winter season as the conditions are not suitable for flying. The travel time from Guwahati to Lilabari takes less than one hour. Taxis can be used to reach the town from the airport and these are available outside the airport.
By Train : The nearest railway station is located at the town of Dibrugarh. The place receives frequent trains from cities such as Guwahati and Delhi. Second class ticket rates from Guwahati to Dibrugarh are around Rs 240. Since this is the cheapest and most comfortable option, many travelers opt for trains. You might have to book tickets at least two months in advance to be sure of reservation.
By Bus : Dibrugarh Bus Station is located at AT Road, Dibrugarh, Assam which is approximately 131 kilometers far from the Lilabari airport and it takes almost 25 minutes to reach the bus stand from the airport by road.
