Leh has very beautiful atmosphere during the season from the month of  June to September. with average maximum temperature in Summer 5 to 40°C  & average minimum temperature in Winter 14 to 24°C. The Best time to visit Leh is from June to September. The weather is extremely cold and harsh during winters, thus causing frost bites.

Due to the unpredictable nature of the climate, tourists are advised to carry woolens. The passes to reach Leh remains open only from the months of June till September.
