Detail InformationEdit
Legend Rock Petroglyph web site is found in Hot Springs County, Wyoming, twenty miles northwest of Hot Springs State Park (which is found in Thermopolis, Wyoming). Legend Rock is a very important petroglyph web site that options many individual petroglyphs unfold across the face of the rock. Though a few of the rock’s lovely etchings have suffered from varied styles of erosion and human disfigurement, a good majority of the design has been well preserved for public enjoyment.
The nearly three hundred individual petroglyphs feature a number of the oldest and best samples of Dinwoody rock art within the World. The origins of the petroglyphs area unit still subject to discussion. The location was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on Gregorian calendar month five, 1973. And it’s preserved by the state of WY as a state historic web site.
