Leadfield was Associate in Nursing unorganized community, and historic mining city in Inyo County, California. It’s currently a town. It’s placed in Titus ravine within the Grapevine Mountains, east of Death Valley in Death Valley parkland. It’s on the National Register of Historic Places.
Ore was being exploited in Titus ravine as early as 1905, however the townsite of Leadfield at the top of the ravine dates to the years 1925 and 1926. The merchandise of intensive and fallacious advertising by the Western Lead Mine Company and C.C. Julian, the city boomed in 1925. His advertising posters showed steamboats navigating the Amargosa stream to Leadfield, ignoring the very fact at the Amargosa stream is dry abundant of the time and doesn’t run among twenty miles of Leadfield.
