Laramie could be a town in and therefore the seat of Albany County, Wyoming, us. The population was thirty,816 at the 2010 Census. Situated on the town watercourse in southeastern Wyoming, the town is west of Cheyenne, at the junction of interstate eighty and U.S. Route 287. Town was settled within the mid-19th century on the Union Pacific railroad, that crosses the town watercourse at town. It’s home to the University of Wyoming, Wyoming Technical Institute, and a branch of town County junior college. Town Regional airdrome serves town. In 2011, town was named because the best town to retire by cash Magazine attributable to its scenic location, low taxes and academic opportunities.
