You can opt for boats and ferries in order to travel between the various islands in Lakshadweep. This is an easier mode of transport, although it is more time consuming. You can travel within the islands for fares ranging from Rs 400 to 2000. Fares in Lakshadweep are normally high, as these islands are preferred only by the elite.
Helicopter
You can also opt for helicopters in order to commute between islands. Through helicopters, the whole commute may be made easier and faster. Helicopters are also the only available mode of transport during monsoons. The fares for helicopter travel will range from Rs 4000 to 7000, depending on the island you want to travel to.
Rented Bicycle
Within the islands, you can opt for cycles for rent. These will cost you around Rs 50 to 100 for a day. Helicopters are a safe mode of travel during night time.
