Laguna Niguel is associate affluent town settled in southern Orange County, California. The name “Laguna Niguel” springs from the Spanish word “Laguna” which implies lake, and therefore the word “Nigueli” that was the name of a Juaneno Indian village that was once settled on Aliso Creek. The population was sixty two,979 at the 2010 census, up from 61,891 at the 2000 census. Town was primarily designed when 1980 as associate unorganized master planned community settled within the San Joaquin Hills close to lake Beach. Lake Niguel contains an outsized vary of housing, from condominiums to massive mansions higher than the ocean. It borders lake Beach, Dana Point, urban center Capistrano, Mission Viejo, lake Hills, and Aliso Viejo.
