The city of l. A. Farm was established in 1827 once the county courthouse was settled at Major William Berry Taylor’s suggestion from Westport. It had been named La farm for the estate of General Lafayette of France World Health Organization had visited the realm in 1824. For a few unknown reason, the county courthouse all over again came to Westport in 1828 wherever it remained till 1838 once it had been all over again settled to La farm. On Jan twenty three, 1840, La farm was incorporated as a town.
