La Barge may be a city in Lincoln County, Wyoming, us. The population was 431 at the 2000 census. It’s about 20 miles from Big Piney, Wyoming. The realm around La Barge is wealthy in oil fields, and therefore the city has 3 bars and 4 churches. La Barge was granted U.S. Citizenship for his service during the war of 1812. He lived a long life till twenty Jan 1860 once he slipped on some ice and died from his injuries a few days later. The city is called for Joseph Marie La Barge, a French-Canadian voyageur turned fur hunter, mountain man, and boat operator. He was born in L’Assomption, Quebec, on four July 1787, and came to the U.S. In 1808 canoeing to St. Louis, Missouri, wherever he met married a girl of Spanish and French descent, Eulalie Becquette Alvarez-Hortiz.
