Kutch Great Indian Bustard Sanctuary is a large area to dwelling bird with long neck and ostrich like elongated legs. This endangered species with its natural colored coat blends with the semi arid grassland, and provides a visual surprise to the tourists. Great Indian Bustard Sanctuary is considered a unique dwelling for these birds which are almost becoming extinct in other regions of the country. Other rare species of animals and birds are fellow habitants who make this sanctuary a treat for natural lovers. Chinkaras, jungle cats, Nilgai and many other mammals inhabit this area, along with the Indian wolf seen in this sanctuary.

Kutch Great Indian Bustard Sanctuary was originated in the year 1992 over a comparatively slender space measuring about two sq. kilometers, within the throbbing grasslands belonging to the Abdusa Taluka, flourishing with avifaunal and craniate life-forms.The woods adjunct to the rural settlements of Jakau and Budia are gobbled up by the Kutch Great Indian Bustard Sanctuary so as to provide sufficient area for the resident creatures to thrive.

Bus : Nearest Bus stop is Nalia, located about 20 kilometers away from Kutch Great Indian Bustard Sanctuary.

Train : Kutch does not have a train station, and the nearest station is Bhuj, at a distance of 70 kms from Kutch. Kutch Express (Daily) and Sayaji Nagri Express (Daily) from Mumbai via Surat, Ahmedabad and Gandhidham to Bhuj. Ala Hazrat Express(Daily) from Delhi via Jaipur, Ajmer and Palanpur to Bhuj.
