Kutch Desert Wildlife Sanctuary not only houses animals but birds also. It is famous for being a home to the colorful flamingos in large numbers. Flamingos sporting a riot of rich and vibrant colors of dark red, yellow, blue are to be seen here. This sanctuary is also called Flamingo City near the Solanki Bet. Also, the sanctuary home the White Pelican and the Avocet which have made this their breeding grounds. Bus : Gujarat State transport and private buses available form Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar and Jodhpur.
Train : Kutch does not have a train station, and the nearest station is Bhuj, at a distance of 70 kms from Kutch. Kutch Express (Daily) and Sayaji Nagri Express (Daily) from Mumbai via Surat, Ahmedabad and Gandhidham to Bhuj. Ala Hazrat Express(Daily) from Delhi via Jaipur, Ajmer and Palanpur to Bhuj.
