Located along the coast and in close proximity to the Arabian Sea, the region of Kumta is extremely famous for its many beaches and wholesome natural scenery. The town of Kumta played a major role during the British rule as many Englishmen made the town of Kumta their temporary home. Nestled between the towering Western Ghats and the enticing Arabian Sea, the town of Kumta is a picture perfect location where you can load off all your worries and happily unwind in peace. Rocks, gently crashing waves and a kaleidoscopic sunset that pulls you into its captivating charm are regular sights in the town of Kumta and this is one of the major reasons why tourists and travelers keep returning to this town in order to visit the beaches in Kumta time and again. A few churches are also scattered along the beach in the coastline of Kumta and these churches stand as symbols of a bygone era of British and Portuguese dominance. The Kumta beach is virtually unexplored and a place that is blessed with some peace and calm, so traveling to Kumta can be a very good idea. The town of Kumta experiences the same weather that other cities and towns in the district of Uttara Kannada do.
