By Train : Kumta has a railway station that is well connected, and has regular trains to Mangalore, Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune through the Konkan Railway network. Train fares may range around Rs 200 to 1000.
By BUS : Buses will also be available from minor towns that surround the region of Kumta, namely the towns of Udipi, Shimoga, SiRsi and Karwar. Semi deluxe buses and deluxe buses will both be available from all major and minor destinations and air conditioned luxury buses will be available from major cities like Mumbai, Bangalore and Mangalore to the town of Kumta.
