The Kumaon Regimental Centre Museum , located off the Mall, is stuffed full of photos and military memorabilia relating to the Kumaon regiment. These include weapons captured in various battles, and the coffin of General TN Raina. The young soldiers from all over the world take the pledge of loyalty to their motherland at this memorial. A parade is also held here every year to commemorate the sacrifice of soldiers.

The Kumaon Regimental Centre Museum and Memorial was built in Ranikhet in 1974, as a symbol of bravery and sacrifice made by soldiers of the place. This memorial towers the famous Somnath Ground. Apart from the memorial, this centre also comprises a museum. This museum was built here in 1978, with the motive of preserving and exhibiting legacy and customs of the Kumaon Region.
