Administrative capital of Belait district, Kuala Belait is the second largest city of Brunei. This city gets its name from Kuala, meaning ‘the mouth of the Belait River’. Visited by thousands of travelers year-round, this small sleepy village which was inhabited by the Malays has transformed today into a lively city which offers all the facilities and amenities to the travelers visiting its popular attractions.
This town is famous all over the World for the oil fields known as “Kuala Belait Bunkering Station”. The Silver Jubilee Park near the South China Sea in this town is an interesting tourist destination. Hassanal Bolkiah is another large monument which was built in honor of Sultan. Kuala Belait Boat Club is a nice place to visit, which hosts a number of prestigious racing events.
