Krems is always worth a visit! Dive into the region at the Nibelungen stream: The Wachau valley – World cultural heritage and natural heritage of UNESCO! . There are not many cities in Austria, such a great variety of cultural, historical and culinary offers, such as the twin city of Krems-Stein. Located on the easternmost point of the Wachau, which more than 1,000 years old city impresses its visitors with historical buildings in Old Town – this was the way in 2000 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
Enjoy the different faces of the city as you stroll through the old town, shops, restaurants and coffee houses, and enjoy the vibrant life. With the realization of the “”Kremser Art Mile”” Krems has set yet another sign of its cultural importance. A wide range of sports activities, with many large events (the Wachau-marathon with more than 10,000 participants every year is the best proof) rounds out the offering.
