Klemtu could be a tiny village on Swindle Island within the coastal fjords of British Columbia, Canada. Klemtu is that the home of the Kitasoo tribe of Tsimshians, originally from Kitasu Bay, and therefore the Xai’xais of Kynoc water, a subgroup of the Heiltsuk individuals. These 2 tribes live along as, and ar collectively ruled by, the Kitasoo/Xai’xais Nation. Ancient languages spoken at Klemtu ar the southern non-standard speech of the Tsimshian language, known as Southern Tsimshian, and Xaixais, a non-standard speech of the Heiltsuk language. In spiritual affiliation, the community is dominated by the United Church of Canada.
