The Village of Kitscoty is set at the junction of main road sixteen and main road 897. The village is found close to midway between provincial capital and Saskatoon (225 kilometre (140 mi) and 295 kilometre (183 mi). Additionally, the village is inside short travel distance of Lloydminster. The CN railway tracks conjointly meet up with Kitscoty, that is that the seat of Vermilion stream County.
The first settlers came to the district in 1905, and was incorporated as a Village in 1911.
