Is situated ont he bank of the Small Danube 40 km from Budapest. The village already shows the characteristics of typical Great Plan settlements. On display in the”Angel House”, the ethnographic collection tells about the story of the Cumanians and the life of the people living on Hungary’s grassland, the puszta. In the year of the Millenium, a full-figure statue og King Ladislaus the Cumanian was unveiled int he public park in front of Sándor Petőfi Cultural Center , as the settlement was named after the king. An interesting piece of local history is the 18th century pillory standing in front of the Reformed Church. The Classicist building og the Major’s Hall stands opposite the church. The square in between is adorned by one of the earliest known statues of Lajos Kossuth. Belonging to Kiskunlacháza but standing just on the outskirts of neighboring Apajpuszta, the Classicist Hajós Mansion today welcomes guests as a guest-house catering for equestrian tourists.
