Kiribati is an island nation, located in the central tropical Pacific Ocean and consists of 32 stunning atolls, along with one scenic raised coral island. Formerly known as the Gilbert Islands, Kiribati has witnessed some of the era’s worst fighting, during the World War II, including the villainous combat of Tarawa in 1943. Tarawa is the nation’s capital, having about 24 islands, of which only eight are colonized. Kiribati tourism and vacation revolves around its beautiful islands such as the Banaba, Phoenix, Line and Gilbert.

Tourist will certainly enjoy a wide variety of thrilling activities like game fishing, sport fishing, scuba diving, bird watching, whale watching, diving and dancing. Visitors will find themselves surrounded with the tour operators offering excellent tours including Lagoon tour, Across the Island Trek, Christmas Island, Flight seeing and World War II relic’s tours. The Kiribati islands provide excellent accommodation facilities including Buota Lodge, Captain Cook Hotel, Karea Home Stay and Mary’s Motel.
