The King Edward VII water fountain may be a fountain in Vancouver, Canada. It had been erected in 1912 to commemorate the King’s passing. Members of the Imperial Order of Daughters of the Empire commissioned sculptor Charles Marega to make the feature. It stood outside the courthouse, currently the Vancouver gallery in a very distinguished location till 1966.
In 1966 it had been stirred into storage to create manner for a brand new feature, the B.C Centennial Fountain . The fountain was imagined to be stirred to King Edward Street and Cambie Street however the Vancouver Parks Board didn’t have the take into account cleanup, moving and putting in the King Edward fountain and then it all over up in storage till 1983. It currently resides on the side of the Vancouver gallery, facing Hornby Street.
