Kevadia Narmada is an area that is located downstream from a dam on the Narmada River. The entire area is known for its scenic beauty with its many small streams, rivulets and thick forests. There are many small lakes that can be seen in the area of Kevadia Narmada as well. The place is surrounded by hills and it has many picturesque view points and watering holes.The place is being developed with many hotels and also a golf course, and tourism is being encouraged in the Kevadia Narmada.The forests of the Narmada area are home to many species of animals and plants and this is one of the most popular tourist spots in the state. Some of the interesting places in the area are, Nehru Foundation Sthal, River View Point, and the Mahadev Temple (which is an ancient temple that was submerged in water and has been reconstructed). There is another Shiva Temple called the Aditheswar Mahadev Temple that is located in the place and this is one of the most visited places in the Narmada Dam area. Some of the lakes that one can see are the Panchmilli Lake, Kalvani Lake, Vagdam Lake and many others. There are view points that are located in and around the dam as well. The place is characterized by typically hot summer conditions and the temperatures during this period are high. The monsoon season brings rainfall and much needed relief from the heat and the best time to visit is just after the end of the monsoon and towards the beginning of the winter season. Winters are mild and the conditions are pleasant.

By Air : The closest airport is located in the city of Vadodara and for those who are planning to arrive by the best option is to land at Vadodara and take a taxi from the airport to Kevadia Narmada. The distance from Narmada to Vadodara is around 82 km and the drive time is around 1.5 hours. The airport is well connected to some of the important cities in the country and receives frequent flights. Taxis charge around Rs 800 for the trip and it is advisable to hire A/C taxis in the summer season.

By Train : The closest railway station is located Baruch. The station is connected to places such as Mumbai, Ahmadabad and many other cities in the state. Some of the main trains that pass through the station are the Saurashtra Express, Gujarat Express, Swaraj Express and many others. Tickets are cheap and one has to book at least two months in advance as trains are the most popular mode of transport.

By BUS : State transportation buses connect Kevadia Narmada to most of the important places in the state and a few other places in the country.
