Kensico burial site, placed in Heaven, Westchester County, New York, was supported in 1889, once several the big apple town cemeteries were turning into full, and rural cemeteries were being created close to the railroads that served town. At first 250 acres (1.0 km2), it had been swollen to 600 acres (2.4 km²) in 1905, however reduced to 461 acres (1.9 km²) in 1912, once a little was oversubscribed to the neighboring Gate of Heaven burial site.
Many amusement figures of the first twentieth century, together with the Russian born Sergei Rachmaninov, were buried here. The burial site contains a special section for members of the Actors’ Fund of America and also the National music hall Association, a number of whom died in abject financial condition.
Sharon Gardens may be a 76-acre (31 ha) section of Kensico burial site, that was created in 1953 for someone burials.
