Karad is a very calm and peaceful location present in the Indian state of Maharashtra. This destination is a major tourist attraction, and many tourists flock here from around the country. This temple is located at the banks of the river Krishna. A temple dedicated to Koynamai, also called as the Devi Koynamai temple, is located on the banks of the river Koyna. There are four hills (including Pal) that surround the town of Karad and these are famous as well. The town of Karad is poised amidst four hills; hence the climate here is not moderate, with very cold winters and hot summers. The three main seasons in the town of Karad are the seasons of summer, winter and monsoon.

The second nearest International Airport is Pune International Airport, roughly 178 Kms from Karad. By Train : The town of Karad has a railway station, and this railway station is located at a distance of around four kilometres from the main town. The railway station at Karad has regular trains to the cities of Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Sangli and even Kolhapur. Train fares are cheaper and will range around Rs 200 to 250.
