The Kansas town Power and light-weight Building could be a landmark edifice settled in Downtown Kansas town, Missouri. Construction was completed in 1931, as the simplest way to market new jobs in Downtown, and since then, the artistic movement Kansas town Power and light-weight Building has been a distinguished a part of the Kansas town skyline.
The original plans designed by Hoit, value and Barnes enclosed a twin building to be paired on the immediate side of the building, however plans were abandoned once the nice Depression took a larger toll than expected. As a result, the side of the building has no windows. Once its completion in 1931, the ability and light-weight Building was Missouri’s tallest inhabitable structure at thirty six stories, till the completion of the One U.S. Bank Plaza building in St. Prizefighter in 1976.
The building is that the centerpiece of the ability & lightweight District. The side of the building faces this high-end amusement and looking district that bears its name. Compounding the “old” with the “new”, the ability and light-weight District hopes to revitalize the downtown space and spark new interest within the Power and light-weight Building’s history.
