A gateway to the Central Highlands of Sri Lanka, Kandy is the second largest city in the country after Colombo. Showcasing several tourist attractions like the Temple of the Tooth, the Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage, the Royal Botanical Garden, the Tea Museum and many temples, Kandy is a leading destination within the interior Sri Lankan region. Reachable through several motorways from every direction, Kandy also is conveniently located on the Colombo-Badulla railway line.
