By Air : Nearest major airport is Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai, which is nearly 110 km from Kamshet. Mumbai (Bombay) is well connected to all major cities in India and also connected to many cities abroad. Taxi services are the one direct travel possibility from Mumbai to Kamshet. It costs about Rs 2000.

By Train : Nearest railhead is Lonavala railway station in the Konkan railway region. It is connected to Mumbai and Goa. From the railway station to Kamshet is about 16 km and it costs nearly Rs 300 by Taxi.

By BUS : Many Maharastra Government public buses are operating between Kamshet and many cities nearby. Tourist Volvo buses are regular between Mumbai and Kamshet (110 km) and Pune to Kamshet (60 km). It costs about Rs 400 to Mumbai and Rs 200 to Pune.

By Taxi : Taxis and Auto rickshaws are easily available for moving about in the city.

Mahashivratri ; Venue:  N.A. ; Period :  February-March ; Details:  Mahashivratri is one of the important festivals for the people of Kamshet that is celebrated with great enthusiasm in February-March and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The festivities include giving a sacred bath of honey, milk and water to the lingam avatar of Lord Shiva, and offering him bel leaves, flowers and zizyphus (ber). Numerous women visit pray to Lord Shiva on this auspicious occasion for a marital bliss.

Ganesh Chaturthi ; Venue:  N.A. ; Period :  August/September ; Details:  In the month of August/September, Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Lord Ganesha. The ten-day festival is another important festival in Kamshet and the celebrations include bringing a clay idol of Lord Ganesha to homes and treating him as a divine guest who has come to bless his devotees. The festival ends on Anant Chaturdashi when the idol of Lord Ganesha is bid a teary farewell and requests to visit devotees again next year.
