Detail InformationEdit

The K+K Regiment Museum provides information on the Tirolean “Kaiserjäger” Batallion (1816 – 1918)
The Museum also offers information on the Tirolean struggle for freedom and the ensuing battle on Bergisel.
On view is an extensive collection of paintings, flags, and arms from the times of the Tirolean freedom fighter Andreas Hofers as well as the Tirolean Imperial Regiments with a focus on from WW 1.
On the ground floor there is a Memorial Chapel (built in 1959) which accomodates a Tirolean Book of Honor listing all Tiroleans who were killed in action between 1796-1945.
The large windowpanes afford fantastic views of Innsbruck and the Nordkette mountain range.
Not far from the Bergisel Museum: the memorial sites of the Tirolean fight for freedom, the Andreas Hofer statue and the chapel with the “Kaiserjäger” cenotaph.
