Kaas Lake, which lies at an altitude of 1067 m above sea level, is an artificial lake built in the year 1875. Surrounded by dense evergreen forests of the Sahyadri Range of the Western Ghats, Kaas Lake is a major stop over along the route to famous destinations of the region like Kasaidevi Temple, Yewateshwar Temple, Bamnoli and Tapola.
