Jundiai is a city and municipality in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The elevation is 761 m. Distance is 60 km north of the city of Sao Paulo. The name of the town comes from the Tupi language, and it means the place of the jundia (“fish with barbs”, the Rhamdia quelen species).
