John Coltrane House was the house of musician and jazz pioneer John Coltrane from 1952 till 1958. He continuing to use the house as AN alternate residence to his ny home till the top of his life. On his death in 1967 the house passed to his cousin-german, cousin-german female parent (namesake of a song on the album large Steps). It had been declared a National Historic Landmark in 1999.
