The Jenny Lake Ranger Station Historic District contains a vicinity that was the most purpose of traveler contact in Grand Teton park from the 1930’s to 1960.
Located close to Jenny Lake, the buildings area unit a mix of purposeful structures and existing buildings that were custom-made to be used by the park Service. The ranger station was designed as a cabin by Lee Mangus north of cervid, WY concerning 1925 and was rapt and restored around 1930 for Park Service use. A store was designed by a concessionaire, and luxury stations were designed to Park Service commonplace plans. All buildings were planned to the prevailing park Service Rustic vogue, though the ranger station and also the picture search were designed from elements of buildings settled elsewhere within the park.
