Jamwa Ramgarh is a taluk headquarters in the jaipur district of the desert land Rajasthan. It is an ideal place for a fully enjoyable picnic vacation. The famous Ramgarh lodge which was previously the residing place for the rulers have now been converted into luxurious hotel. The Ramgarh lake which is a home for 100 species of birds belonging to 38 bird families is a worth visiting, especially during the monsoon season.

Ramgarh has an exciting past which not many people are aware of. About 1000 years ago the region of Ramgarh was the power center of the Meenas and was later conquered by the Kachhwahas. Far out situated on one of the lofty ridges of the Aravallis stands the Ramgarh Fort, the Kacchwahas ( the rulers of Jaipur ) ruled this area before they migrated to the present day Amber and then to Jaipur. Even today the ancient temple of Jamwa Mata is the family temple of the Kacchwaha clan.

How to ReachEdit

Taxi : Jamwa Ramgarh, Jaipur can be accessed by Taxi. Taxis run on meter, and charges will hover around Rs 12 per kilometer.

BUS : Jamwa Ramgarh is around 225 kms from Gurgaon and around 255 kms from Delhi. It has bus facility from almost all important cities and can also be reached through a bus in about 6-8 hours.

Train : The nearest railway station to reach Jaipur Jhalana Nature Park (Nahagarh Biological Park) is Jaipur Railway Station, Shanti Nagar, Hasanpura, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India which is located at a middel of city. After getting down at the railway station, take an auto-rickshaw, bus or hire a taxi to reach the destination within the city.

Air : The airport is situated close to Sanganer, almost 13 km to the south of Jaipur City. Domestic airlines connect the city to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Agra, Jodhpur and Udaipur. The Jaipur airport also provides international flights to Dubai, London, Muscat and Sharjah. Taxis are available to and from airport. Air India, Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, etc. fly daily to Jaipur.

Others : Cycle rickshaws charge anywhere from Rs 10 to 30, but this mode of transport is very slow.
