The James J. Hill House, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, was engineered by railroad top executive James J. Hill. The house, completed in 1891, is close to the japanese finish of Summit Avenue close to the Cathedral Of Saint Paul. The house, for its time, was terribly massive and was the “showcase of St. Paul” till James J. Hill’s death in 1916.It is listed as a U.S. National Historic Landmark, operated by the Minnesota Historical Society.With 36,000 sq. feet (3,344 sq. meters) of living space, the home is the most important residence in Minnesota.
