Jalna is a major tourist destination in the Indian state of Maharashtra.  primarily a destination that is famous among pilgrims, and tourists flock to this town too, in order to visit the many temples and take a look at their architecture. The region of Jalna has many ancient temples and structures of religious importance, and for this reason, the town is crowded throughout the year. The Shree Ganesh temple is a famous religious destination that is located in the town of Rajur, around twenty five kilometres away from the town of the city. This temple is especially crowded during the time of Ganesh Chathurthi, as a lot of devotees congregate here during this time. You can also visit the Matsyodari Devi temple, which is located twenty one kilometres away from the town. The temple is located on top of a hill, which is shaped like a fish, and this is a major tourist attraction. This temple is an ancient one. While in Jalna, you can also visit the Shree Jagadamba Devi temple, which is located quite near the town at a distance of about two kilometres. This temple is 300 years old, and located atop a hill. This temple is crowded during Tuesdays, so make sure that you don’t travel to this temple during the time.

By Air : Jalna is located 50.5 KM away from the nearest Chikkalthana Airport IXU Aurangabad Airport.

By Train : The district head quarter is at Jalna & well connected to state capital and national capital by broad gauge railway line. Jalna (Station Code: J) is a station located on the Kachiguda-Manmad section of Hyderabad (HYB) Division of South Central Railway (SCR). After Divisional adjustments in 2003, which saw the bifurcation of Hyderabad Division, Jalna now comes under the newly created Nanded (NED) Division of SCR.

By Bus : Jalna is a major towns of the state are also connected by state highways. Road connectivity is excellent and road connecting to Aurangabad, Pune, Ahmednagar, Nagpur, Beed, Mumbai are upgraded into four-lane highway. A New Nagpur-Aurangabad-Mumbai highway passing through Jalna is being developed.
