Ixtepec could be a little town, and municipality of identical name, situated within the state of Oaxaca, in southern Mexico. It’s a part of the Juchitan District within the west of the Istmo Diamond State Tehuantepec region. The municipality has a neighborhood of 229.65 km2 at a median elevation of forty meters on top of water level.
The climate is heat,, with downfall of 950 millimetre annually largely falling within the summer. Ixtepec wont to be a very important railway center purpose, however today no train traffic runs through. However, a university has recently been created there.
Economic activities embrace terribly restricted agriculture on 972 hectares of irrigated land growing corn, sorghum, herb and vegetables, 408 little farms raising kine, pigs or goats, fish hatcheries for crappie, Tilapia and red snapper, manufacture of bricks, college uniforms and residential furnishings, and mining of black clay for creating pots and figurines and adobe bricks.
