Istočni Mostar is a municipality in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was also known as Srpski Mostar and was created from part of the pre-war municipality of Mostar (the other part of the pre-war municipality is now in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina). The name Istočni Mostar also refers to the eastern part of Mostar city, which is in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This municipality consists of Zijemlje, Kokorine and Kamena and has only 600 inhabitants, most of whom are Serbs. In 1991, the population of Zijemlje numbered 153 people, including 96 (63%) Serbs and 57 (37%) Muslims by nationality. The seat of municipality is in Zijemlje.
