Irapuato could be a Mexican town (and municipality) placed at the foot of the Arandas mountain (in Spanish: cerro Diamond State Arandas), within the south central region of the state of Guanajuato. It lies between the Silao stream and also the Guanajuato stream, a tributary of the Lerma stream, at 1,724 m (5,656 ft) higher than water level.
The city is that the second-largest within the state (only behind León), with a population of 342,561 per the 2005 census, whereas its municipality incorporates a population of 463,103. The municipality has a neighborhood of 845.16 km² (326.32 sq mi) and includes various smaller far communities. The city’s main business is agriculture and it’s renowned for its strawberries and also the raising of pigs and oxen.
