Iolani Palace, within the capitol district of downtown state capital within the U.S. State of Hawaii, is that the solely royal palace within the us used as an officer residence by a powerful monarch and could be a National Historic Landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Two monarchs ruled from Iolani Palace: King Kalkaua and Queen female monarch. Once the autocracy was overthrown in 1893, the building was used because the Capitol Building for the conditional Government, Republic, Territory, and State of Hawaii till 1969. The palace was fixed and opened to the general public as a deposit in 1978.
